Made Willy's °ª¯Å milktea today. Practicing for Friday's hot pot party. It better than any milktea store you can find in Pittsburgh (which is just one).

I'm a genius. No doubt about it.

Yesterday:
-- Got my car finally, thank you M&M (and that guy at the dealer who waited for me for 10 min after it was closed)!! Remind me to treat you guys...to McDonald's? =) I think the dealer tuned up my turbo (is that even possible?) because it is so much louder and I feel the car is more lively. Probably because it was too slow before when it was broken?!
-- Found out about a research report that was suppose to be done last semester, which I did NOT do, or even know about until now. 8 pages single spaced...hmm...crap...I don't think I did anythign last semester.
-- Watched Shaq vs Yao. Tight game...I enjoyed those blocks Yao had on Shaq, and Kobe is still my hero.

Today:
Ski trip! Snowboarding is coolest, nuff said.

Roadmap of Shilin Nite Market. Of course it's for newbies and not for experts like myself ;-) Thank you RuRu!!

My poor Jetta. The transmission module was shorted, which explains why it was always stuck at 4th gear. The window lock didn't work properly. The handle of the glove box broke off. The car is all scratched up. However, all but last will be fixed by tomorrow! =) And I got a kick ass car stereo system! Now people can hear me playing Jay's songs from five blocks away.

Some things you just take for granted...but when you lose it, you then realize it's so important. I've never noticed before but I feel so dependent on my car. Took the bus to school and back -- it sucked to walk in the snow and climb up the hill to my apartment. Another example is my right hand pinky. I accidently cut my finger washing a broken dish today and now I can't really use it...not like it's THAT important but there is a lot of inconvinience.

Is anyone up for skiing/snowboarding this weekend??

Sunset at Tokyo airport.

This was taken when the plane is somewhere around Anchorage, Alaska.

I went to pick up my car from my friend this morning and GUESS WHAT?!?!?!! My car is broken -- it is always stuck at 4th gear. So my car accelerates like a school bus right now. Apparently the computer is messed up because my windows don't even open. My friend said it was like that one day when he tried to start my car; he said he called up some people and they said it's some computer glitch when it gets cold. This computer problem is actually quite minor compared to a friend's Jetta, which one day decided to lock the brake. He could start the car but was unable to drive it. I'm calling the dealer first thing tomorrow morning. Can't VW engineers get things right?

Time now is 11:49pm, 12/11. It is -10 Celcius here. I'm back at Pittsburgh...I haven't exactly been looking forward to this day. Looking out the window from my room, I only see a stretch emptiness in the Mellon Arena parking lot. My desk is covered with bills and a rejection letter from UPitt (they rejected my registration of one of their business classes...wtf). Dude, this place sucks!

I had a 4 hour layover at Tokyo airport, and another 4 hour at Chicago airport. I think they are the loneliest moments of my life. The saddest thing is that I'm used to it already. I've been flying like this since I came to college...now I think I'm too old to travel like this...yes I'm 21!! I saw the funkiest thing at the Chicago airport though. While going through customs, I saw this little, mexican-looking girl, about 8 years old, lying on the floor between the lines, sleeping. After a couple of minutes, her mom came out of the line in front of me, picked up the little girl, dropped her two feet in front of where she was lying down, and went back to the line. Her mom did that twice. When they (the rest of the family) finally reached the customs officer, her mom finally woke her up and walked together to the counter. So I was trying to figure out the logic behind this "sleeping on the floor in the middle of an airport" business, and I concluded that the little girl was drunk. Maybe I was too...because I was so tired that went and lined up under "Residents & Citizens" holding my Visa and I-20. That was weird....

On the small plane leaving Chicago, I looked out the window at myriads of city lights. They look so organized...so symetric...so pretty. Yeah, I was drunk...dead tired. So I slept on the two hours to Pittsburgh and now I think I'm having problems sleeping. On the way back to my apartment from the airport, I shared a cab with a Carnegie Mellong Philosophy professor. He's from southern California, and believe it or not, he said he LOVES Pittsburgh. It's not hard to believe, but I know I will never be able to feel that love. I'm still waiting to graduate!! 3 semesters left!!!

I miss Taiwan already. I miss the food. I miss friends & family, especially some people that I just met not over two weeks ago. Man! At least another 4 months until I go back again! ARGH!

Happy New Year everyone! I don't remember what I did the past few weeks here in Taipei except for eating a lot and meeting a lot of people, some new and some I haven't seen for at least 5-7 years. So busy everyday...don't even know with what.

Countdown party was great. I was at my friend's mansion at Yan Ming Mt. His house is unbelievable...never seen such a big house in my life before. Literally took me an hour to tour his house. He's got pool table, ping pong table, BBQ places, KTV, majong tables, home theater, air hocky, foosball table, basketball/badminton court, Taipei nite view, just name anything. About 40 peopele there...just BBQed, chatted, sang, played all those balls, etc. Too bad the whole time zone counted down when we were wearing our shoes to go outside to the balcony for the fireworks. Howeve, we did our own little countdown TWICE (b/c one time just wasn't enough). Took some pix too -- they will be updated soon.

ARGH 1.2 week left!! so sad =(
